VAMFF Wrap {National Graduate Showcase + Independent Runway}

{Photo by Wayne Milner}

This time last weekend I was on my way to Docklands for 2014's L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival with stunning local Melbourne stylist Anna Emmelmann (pictured left wearing Sass & Bide).

Anna and I were lucky enough to land front row seats to both the National Graduate Showcase {presented by Target} and Independent Runway {presented by YEN Magazine}.

Here is a selection of my favourite looks from the runway. The remainder of the images can be found on our Facebook page.

Little town on the Derwent...

I recently had the pleasure of spending a long weekend in Australia's most southern state, Tasmania. Spending four days in Hobart (North Hobart for the majority) was just what this busy little bee needed to reset her engines as ideas fizz and foam in preparation for Autumn/Winter collaborations.

A beautiful and historic city, Hobart should definitely make more people's "must do" lists in terms of getaways. I've always been a firm believer in the whole, "explore your own backyard" ethos - this year's goal is to explore as much of Australia as possible before relocating back to my place of birth (U.S.A) next year.

My travel companion for the weekend was Claire Nada of Fashion's Sweethart. As you can imagine, four days of a photographer and blogger traveling resulted in daily dress-ups and detailed documentation of our adventures.

We went to several museums, markets, cafes, breweries, restaurants and spent a large part of the weekend at various piers and stretching our pins by walking everywhere (with the exception of ZooDoo Wildlife Park out near Richmond which required a shuttle bus).

Here is a selection of images from the trip. Enjoy!
