Hello!
I thought it would be fitting to post a selection of images from the collaborations I have been fortunate enough to be involved in over the past year.
A massive thank you to all the creatives I have met and worked with - models, stylists, designers, bloggers, make up artists, hair stylists, other photographers and events people. I cannot say enough how much this year has meant in terms of networking, marketing and meeting a great group of creative minds - some of the best that Brisbane has to offer. It was hard to pick just one image from each photo shoot (events/runway not included), but here we go!
The only photoshoot I have not included is my most recent work with The Blonde Silhouette - keep an eye on her blog here for the release!
Really excited for what 2014 has to bring for Offbeat Imaging - there are already a few exciting projects in the works, so watch this space and have a happy and safe New Year in the mean time.

Art & Style Events {BEHIND THE SCENES}
On Friday 13th December, The Met Brisbane became host to a slew of fashionistas, designers and art enthusiasts as Art & Style Events held their pioneer soiree and Evelyn Curtis' last show for 2013.
Organised by Lexi Wittke of Evelyn Curtis and Tien Chung, the night showcased designers, artists, hair stylists and makeup artists. Focused on enriching Brisbane's brightest and best talent, Art & Style displayed a visual feast of garments and artworks.
Here's a few sneaky behind the scenes photos of the talented hair/makeup artists hard at work pre-show and a glimpse of some of the art on display (runway images to come in another blog).
Smooth tunes throughout the event were supplied by le hoots.
If you were snapped by Offbeat Imaging on the night head here, like our page and tag yourself!

Fashion Friday Final...
After four heats of fierce competition, the selection of heat-winners and wild card Brisbane fashion designers showcasing in the sunny Capulet Bar courtyard (for Fashion Friday Final on Sunday 1 December) included:
(In order of appearance):
I Found Lucy
Lipoa threads
Fabled and True
Flynn
Evelyn curtis
Jess Tovey
Undral
Hoskin Designs
These girls are all SO talented and after seeing what they produced for their individual heats, the garments showcased at the final this afternoon were nothing short of inspiring. Brisbane definitely has a developing hub of young designers and events like Fashion Fridays are a great way of getting these designers more exposure.
I Found Lucy:-
The first cab off the rank was I Found Lucy. This label focuses on a youthful whimsy and has a real sense of play. This line is called "the princess and the unicorn" which couldn't be more fitting as some of the items look to be straight from the dress-up box (but suitable for adults).
Lipoa Threads:-
The second designer to showcase was Lipoa Threads. This label has an African influence and always displays a bright array of bold and often colour-blocked fabrics with beaded detailing. 'A summer holiday' is the best way to describe these garments. Lipoa Threads also hand-make accessories.
Fabled and True:-
The next designer on display was Fabled and True. Firstly, massive congratulations to Fabled and True for wowing the judges and winning the final! The label utilises recycled/repurposed vintage fabrics (ranging from table cloths to dresses). The line shown today is elegant and classic with a vintage feel, with a focus on lace, florals and layering.
Flynn:-
Quirky Brisbane label Flynn balances a stark modernist approach with soft feminine wile. A cross between a damsel and an assassin, the label uses a majority of sheer fabrics and plastic to create innovative one-of-a-kind garments and accessories.
Evelyn Curtis:-
Evelyn Curtis displayed a very different line in the final than in the heat. The heat showcase included a spring-inspired set of floral/lace mix-and-match pieces, whereas the pieces shown at the final (after Evelyn Curtis won heat 4), boasted a sexy satin cocktail menu, perfect for the hot summer nights to come. This shows the label's diversity, with one-of-a-kind pieces wearable from season to season.
Jessica Tovey:-
Jess's line is best described as a modern, edgy, sexy-corporate blend. Giant structured shoulder pads, leather, textured/coated fabrics and a monochromatic (for the most part) palette make up the pieces seen on the runway today.
Undral:-
Undral Fashion brought a shipwreck of wonderful pirate booty to the runway this afternoon, with prints encompassing muted florals and skull motifs. Ladylike patterns (in playsuits and frocks) contrasted to the nature of the prints, paired perfectly with the palette chosen to create the pieces showcased.
Hoskin Designs:-
If delicate/ornate couture garments are your favourite, then Hoskin Designs will never disappoint. Several oohs and ahs were heard from the runway's side as the elaborate garments strolled effortlessly onto the pavement.

That's a wrap! Congratulations to all those that displayed work today and also to the other designers that competed in heats but did not make it into the final. Keep up the good work!
Can't wait until the next runway event on my fashion calendar - Art & Style Event on 13th December at The Met, Brisbane. A few other exciting projects emerging between now and the new year, also. Watch this space!
